Construction Fabrication for Commercial and Industrial Projects

Contractors need custom metal components that fit site conditions and arrive on schedule, without requiring extra field work. At S&R Sheet Metal, we provide construction fabrication to your project specifications, handling the shop work needed to turn drawings into finished parts and assemblies. We also offer field installation when the project scope and location allow.

Metal Fabrication Services for Construction Projects

When standard parts do not fit your project, we fabricate metal components to the dimensions and configurations your drawings require. Our construction fabrication services cover architectural work and industrial facility components, with contract manufacturing available for repeat parts. Explore the services below or view our fabrication capabilities for details on the shop processes available for your project.

Architectural Fabrication

We provide custom sheet metal fabrication for commercial and industrial buildings, including roofing and flashing made to your specifications. For projects in Washington and the Pacific Northwest, we also offer installation.

Components for this service may include:

  • Custom metal roofing components
  • Flashing
  • Architectural sheet metal trim
  • Access panels

Industrial Fabrication

Industrial construction often requires custom metalwork where equipment connects to facility systems. We work with engineers and air movement designers to fabricate ducting and chutes, and we provide machine guarding for industrial equipment.

Components for this service may include:

  • Industrial ductwork
  • Chutes
  • Equipment guards
  • Custom metal equipment enclosures

Metal Cutting

We use CNC laser or plasma cutting to produce metal parts with the profiles and openings specified in your drawings. Repeatable cutting is useful when you need the same component at multiple installation points. Parts that require forming or welding can move through additional fabrication operations in our shop.

Components for this service may include:

  • Flat steel plates
  • Blanks for formed plates and brackets
  • Mounting plates
  • Panel blanks with specified cutouts

Contract Metal Manufacturing

When your project requires repeated components or assemblies, we produce the agreed quantities to your specifications. We review the scope and production schedule with you before work begins. This service applies when you need the same custom part across multiple locations or construction phases.

Components for this service may include:

  • Repeat brackets and mounting components
  • Formed steel plates
  • Custom metal enclosures
  • Fabricated assemblies

Quality Fabrication Helps Prevent Problems in the Field

A fabrication problem becomes a construction problem once the part reaches the job site. Poor quality can cause project delays and work stoppages as the construction team develops a workaround or waits for new components.

At S&R Sheet Metal, our skilled union tradespeople follow a strict quality control process that ensures every piece we produce meets precise specifications. Since 1974, our quality-control processes have focused on accuracy and consistency throughout fabrication. Safety protocols help protect our crew and your work from the shop floor through final delivery and installation when required. Learn more about our quality control and safety practices.
